About Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC

Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC was founded in October 2021 after a simple conversation over coffee about bringing Christmas lights back to Dedworth Road. What started as one small community project has grown into a thriving Community Interest Company that organises events, supports local initiatives and brings people together throughout the year.

Our first Christmas Fair took place in November 2021 and was an immediate success. Since then, our Christmas and Easter events have welcomed thousands of visitors, creating opportunities for local businesses, charities and community groups to come together.

We are also proud organisers of Rock the Rec, our annual summer festival, which has become one of Windsor’s favourite community events. The festival showcases talented local musicians, offers affordable family entertainment, and provides a fantastic day out for residents of all ages. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to keep ticket prices affordable and ensure the event remains accessible to everyone.

Our Mission

Our aim is simple – to bring people together, strengthen community spirit, and invest back into Clewer and Dedworth.

Income generated from our events has helped fund projects including:

• Installing Christmas lights along Dedworth Road.
• Providing free tickets to families who might otherwise be unable to attend our events.
• Sponsoring visits to Santa at our Christmas Fair.
• Creating the free Internet Café at Woody’s.
• Supporting projects that reduce social isolation and improve community wellbeing.

As we continue to grow, we look forward to supporting even more initiatives that make a positive difference to local residents.

Making Our Events Accessible

We believe community events should be open to everyone.

Working alongside local schools, housing associations and community organisations, we provide complimentary tickets for families experiencing financial hardship, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to taking part.

Supporting Volunteers

Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do.

From helping with event set-up and welcoming visitors to supporting stallholders and keeping our events clean and safe, our volunteers make every event possible.

Volunteering also provides valuable opportunities to:

• Build confidence and practical skills.
• Meet new people and develop lasting friendships.
• Gain experience working with the public.
• Support autistic adults and young people in developing social and workplace skills.
• Encourage intergenerational projects, such as our Get Connected initiative, where young volunteers help older residents become more confident using technology.

An Inclusive Community

Our volunteers range in age from teenagers to people in their eighties, reflecting the diversity of our community and proving that everyone has something valuable to contribute.

Meet the Team

Lee Hibbard – Chair

Lee is one of the driving forces behind Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC and is well known throughout the local community for her enthusiasm, commitment and ability to bring people together.

As the person behind Woody’s Café in Pirate Park, Lee has created a welcoming community hub where people of all ages can meet, relax and connect.

Her outstanding organisational skills, energy and passion for community events have been instrumental in the success of Clewer & Dedworth Together since it was founded. Lee’s positivity and determination inspire everyone around her and she truly embodies the community spirit that sits at the heart of the organisation.

Amy Tisi – Treasurer

Amy has lived in Clewer for many years with her husband and children and is passionate about creating opportunities for local people to connect.

A teacher by profession and a local councillor, Amy co-founded the Baby Bank in 2015 and has continued to support families across the community ever since.

As Treasurer of Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC, Amy oversees the organisation’s finances, but her role extends far beyond the accounts. She manages much of the organisation’s day-to-day administration, works closely with Alison on communications and social media, and helps coordinate the many behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our events running smoothly.

On event days, Amy can usually be found in a high-vis jacket, helping wherever needed and making sure every detail is taken care of. Her practical approach, attention to detail and willingness to get involved make her an invaluable member of the team.

Alison Carpenter – Secretary

Alison has lived in Windsor for over 12 years and serves as both a local councillor and Secretary of Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC.

Alongside organising events, Alison manages much of the administration that keeps the organisation running, including marketing, communications, the website and event planning. She enjoys turning ideas into reality and helping create events that bring thousands of local people together each year.

Outside of volunteering, Alison works in the corporate travel technology industry. She lives in Windsor with her partner John and their energetic cockapoo, Saxon, and is proud to play a part in helping Clewer and Dedworth continue to thrive.

Gavin Ingels – Stage Manager & Band Coordinator

Gavin joined Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC to oversee the live entertainment that has become such an important part of Rock the Rec.

Working closely with musicians, performers and the technical team, Gavin coordinates the stage programme and ensures everything runs smoothly throughout the day.

His attention to detail, calm approach and passion for live music help create an enjoyable experience for performers and visitors alike, making him a valued member of the team.
